As International Sales Support Specialist, you are jointly responsible for the sales of Batavia products mainly to importers, distributors, retailers and online players.

You will co-support and initiate the activities required for sales & profit growth from the commercial back office in the Netherlands. Customer satisfaction and acquisition are elementary in sales and for growth, your cooperation with colleagues and perseverance in combination with excellent communication skills and knowledge of the market are necessary to succeed.

In this position, you will have a clear role with responsibility within Batavia International’s growth plans, but also a great opportunity to develop yourself as a person.

Your daily work will be a combination of sales-specific administration and preparing many quotations, following up on customer visits by the Sales Manager or international sales agents, performing sales/relationship management for a group of customers (online and physical shops) and therefore looking for more customers yourself.

You cooperate intensively with other departments such as product management, purchasing, administration and logistics for the sake of a good end result.

You are enterprising and understand that you need to seek out and force business in the world of intense competition. You are a Batavian and a Challenger as we say.

Where will you work?

The Sales department consists of a Sales director, 2 sales managers, 3 sales support colleagues and a trainee. This is truly a dynamic international sales & marketing focused environment.

Your work location is easily accessible from Hoogeveen and Zwolle via the A28 and via Heerenveen and Steenwijk via the N32. Free parking is available. There is no train station directly nearby, but it is 7 km away in Meppel.

Who are you?

We are looking for an enthusiastic commercial candidate with a winner’s mentality, who speaks at least excellent English and preferably German. You have a commercial drive through your work experience, education and/or talent; You have strong and communicative skills and are the point of contact for customers;

You are structured, have an eye for detail and pick things up; You are a team motivator and think in terms of solutions; You are confident and you are communication & computer literate.

What can you expect?

You can expect a varied Full-time position for 32 to 40 hours with many own responsibilities and opportunities. Batavia Nld is housed in a brand new office with sit/stand workstations with nice canteen, lunch spot on the waterfront jetty and free parking. You can start your working day between 08.00 and 09.00 and have a half-hour lunch break.

There are good primary and secondary working conditions, in line also with your education and experience.
