Why do you need an Impact Driver?
An Impact Driver is specially designed for fast screwing and unscrewing in hard surfaces and hard to reach places. Thanks to the technology used in this tool, you can screw and unscrew without the use of any strength. The Batavia Brushless Impact Driver will do all the work for you. This makes it the perfect tool for every DIY enthusiast and a great addition to your Maxxpack collection.
What is the difference between a drill and a Brushless Impact Driver?
With a normal drill you can drill and screw, in different surfaces. For example, you can use the Batavia Brushless Combi Drill for drilling, fastening and hammer drilling. The Batavia Brushless Impact Driver is specialized in screwing and unscrewing in hard materials and hard to reach places. That is why an Impact Driver is not a replacement for a normal or combi drill, but a great addition to make your job a lot easier and faster.
How does a Brushless Impact Driver work?
The Technology used in an Impact Driver is different in comparison with a normal drill. When you use a normal drill, the motor provides a constant pressure to rotate the chuck. With the technology used in the Brushless Impact Driver, the chuck starts to rotate by force on impact. This force on impact is created by the spring, hammer, and anvil, which are positioned between the brushless motor and the chuck. The rotation of the chuck starts with the motor and the spring. The motor forcefully releases the spring. This makes the hammer hit the anvil. The chuck of the Impact Driver starts to rotate when this hammer hits the anvil. Then the motor compresses the spring and the process starts from the beginning. This process happens fast and thousands of times per minute. The Brushless Impact Driver has an impressive maximum of 3300 impacts per minute.
Brushless motor versus a brushed motor
The difference between the Impact Driver and this Brushless Impact Driver, is that the Impact driver has a motor with a brush, and the Brushless Impact Drill has not. Tools with a brushless motor have a longer lasting life and are more powerful.
