The Batavia Circular Saw is a compact, light, and handy tool for the sawing of wood. It is a cordless Circular Saw, which you can use for a lot of different DIY jobs, even for the jobs you need to saw in a mitre angle. You can set the mitre angle of this hand-held Circular Saw up to 45°.
A cordless Circular Saw is specially designed for cutting large pieces of wood. It can cut in a straight line, but is also able to cut in a bend. Before you use the Circular Saw, you have to draw a line on your surface. This way you know where you want to cut and if you are on the right track. Next, you have to adjust the saw blade to the right settings. This means that you adjust the cutting depth to the right depth and adjust the mitre angle, if you have to cut this way. The cutting depth of the Batavia Circular Saw is adjustable, and the mitre angle can be adjusted up to 45°. When your hand-held Circular Saw is completely installed, you align the saw blade of the Circular Saw, to the line on your workpiece. If the tool is lined up, you can start sawing. You start the saw and move it into your workpiece and follow the line. Because of the sawdust, the line becomes less visible, when you start sawing. That is why the Batavia Circular Saw has a dust extraction system. When you add a sawdust extractor, you get rid of the sawdust and your line remains visible.
The easiest way to cut straight, while using a Circular Saw, is by using a parallel guide. A parallel guide is a track on which you can mount your Circular Saw. You put the parallel guide over your cutting line. This way, your Circular Saw cannot move in any direction, except straight. Because a parallel guide is necessary for making straight cuts, the Batavia Circular Saw standard includes a parallel guide.
